Safeguarding

Safeguarding is not just something that we do at TPA, but it is a culture that enables all children and adults to feel safe and happy.

“We are safe here and we feel safe here!” (a child’s response during the school’s safeguarding audit, May 2022)

Child Protection

All TPA staff receive mandatory annual safeguarding training at the beginning of the academic year. Further training takes place as required through the year and the staff receive weekly safeguarding updates and reminders.

Please see our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy 2023 -24 at the bottom of the page.

TPA’s Designated Safeguarding Leads, (DSLs), are Paul Turney, Headteacher, Kirsty Luff, Deputy Headteacher, Bev Iles, Assistant Headteacher, Matt Grace, KS1 and LKS2 phase leader and Abbi More, UKS2 phase leader.

DSLs are trained for their roles and there is a statutory requirement that this training is updated every two years.

Our link governor for safeguarding and child protection is Andrew Jenkins, Chair of Governors.
