House Captains

TPA’s House Captains

House Captains and their supporting Vice House Captains, along with our School Council, are our student leaders of the school. They have so many responsibilities, the most significant of which is to act as a role model to their fellow students, by demonstrating the exceptional behaviour, attitude and enthusiasm we’ve come to expect from pupils at TPA. They are confident and show leadership qualities to enthuse and encourage the pupils in their teams to gain House points each week for their Attitudes Towards Learning points and Accelerated Reader points, as well as energetic athletes who can lead their teams during Sports Day in the summer term.

The children gain points for showing the following Attitudes Towards Learning throughout the week, these attitudes include: Resilience, Reflectiveness, Risk Taking, Resourcefulness, Relationship and Respect.

The House with the greatest number of House Points receives the School Learning Cup and is able to choose a team reward.

Throughout each half term the Houses also compete for the greatest number of Accelerated Reader points (for reading the most words) as well as the House which has achieved the highest percentage of correct answers in their accelerated Reader tests over 85%. The winning House Team is able to receive a team reward/ prize.

The House Captains are chosen by the school community.. Please see the link on the right to see picutres of the House Captains.
