Breakfast

Tangmere Primary Academy is proud to be partnered with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn.

KIN London to fundraise for National charity Magic Breakfast - KIN London

Magic Breakfast provides Tangmere Primary Academy with nutritious breakfast food to ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.

At TPA, all children are offered a breakfast bagel first thing in the morning as they come in.  Children can enjoy this while they complete their beginning of the day tasks and many of the teachers and children comment on how nice it is to start the day in this way.

Tangmere Primary Academy Magic Breakfast Offer:

Breakfast Club

In the house from 8.15am - 8.45am

A selection of cereals including porridge in colder weather

Toast including a variety of toppings

Every child is offered a freshly warmed bagel upon arrival to school to enjoy as they complete their beginning of the day tasks.  These are kept in insulated bags and offered to any children who arrive at school late.

The National School Breakfast Programme has recently launched its breakfast at home area on the Family Action website. The breakfast at home area shares the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast, and the impact this can have on their children’s readiness to learn, health and wellbeing. It offers tools to help parents to provide a low cost, nutritious daily breakfast.

The breakfast at home website contains six main categories; get organised, nutrition and wellbeing, family fun, top tips, recipes and videos and research. Within these categories are planners, hacks, information about what’s in cereal, nutrition factsheets, ideas for weekend breakfast, quizzes and much more.
